Processor?

Hey

Can anyone, (who knows something about processors...)
tell me if an AMD Phenom ii X4 quadcore with 2.80 Ghz and 8MB cache,
is a good processor for gaming. And if you would compare it with an intel:
would it be a:
-intel core 2duo
-i5
-i7
....

I whould say it will be compared with an i7 !

It's compared with i7, i7 is better but AMD II X4 phenom is way cheaper !!

Yes good CPU, and can be overclocked till 4Ghz with a good cooling... If you wanna buy it i'd advice the 955 Black edition, it cost few more euros, but frequency is 3,20ghz.

Price is fine yeah, if you got a good warranty.

edit : But you should know if the motherboard is compatible Crossfire, because in a year (maybe less) you will be blocked by this GPU and if the motherboard is crossfire ready, you can add another gpu > problem solved =)
